I am a 27 years old Romanian photographer, fortunate enough to call Maui my home. Growing up between dozens of cameras, photography and videography have always been in my life. With over 15 years of photography experience, I perfected my skills in traveling, people and events photography, making sure to capture the perfect moments my clients have experienced. With hundreds of events photographed over this time span, I am proud that I successfully got to bring pure joy and true smiles during the moments my clients have reviewed my pictures.
A short while ago, I decided there was time for a change in my photography portfolio. I have always loved to capture and record the authenticity and emotion. I believe that a picture should always tell a story just by simply looking at it. "The eyes, Chico, they never lie" as quoted from Al Pacino's Scarface 1983 character. During all these years, I arrived to the conclusion that the eyes have always been an anchor when it came to my art's storytelling.
Therefore, I created The Maka Nani Project - A unique project and the pioneer of capturing the beauty of the eyes in Hawaii. As a concept, Maka Nani, translated from Hawaiian to English as "Beautiful Eyes", embodies the concept of the project's purpose and cultural ties. Based on the island of Maui, The Maka Nani Project brings a new area of exploration where eyes immerse into art.
